Liverpool have agreed on a £13.75m deal to secure the signature of Stoke City wide man Xherdan Shaqiri this summer. According to recent reports, the Reds are inching closer towards sealing a move for the Swiss international after agreeing on a fee with the Potters and the player is undergoing a medical right now. The Swiss playmaker has already agreed on personal terms with the Merseyside outfit.
The Stoke playmaker had put in a number of scintillating performances at the Bet365 Stadium last season but his outstanding contributions were not enough for the Staffordshire outfit to avoid the drop. Shaqiri had made 38 appearances for the Potters the last term, scoring 8 goals while creating 7 assists across all competitions. It seems that Jurgen Klopp is ready to bring the Swiss talent to Merseyside ahead of the new season. The 26-year-old has been linked with a number of different clubs in recent weeks but now, it looks like the Reds have won the race to recruit him in this post-season.
