Liverpool are willing to let young Harry Wilson leave this season on loan as the Reds would like Wilson to get more game time under his belt before he can challenge for a place in the Liverpool team.
The Merseyside club have a strict loan policy where they expect their youngsters to play a stipulated amount of matches in order to accumulate as much of game time as possible and improve on the required aspects of their individual and collective game. Harry Wilson is a player in demand as Aston Villa, West Bromwich Albion and Leeds United are looking to bring in the Liverpool youth player on a season-long loan move.
Wilson operates on the right wing and for someone of his age, he possesses a sense of incredible calmness when on the ball or in front of the goal. He has an impressive left foot and is not shy to shoot from distance if given the chance.
He has good pace which he uses to his advantage while gliding past defenders in search of a goal or assist. Harry Wilson currently holds the record for being the youngest player to debut for the Wales senior team at the tender age of 16 years and 207 days, a feat which was previously held by Welsh wizard Gareth Bale.
West Brom would do well to sign the player on a temporary basis as Wilson would bring quality and creativity to the team. The Baggies crashed out of the Premier League last season as they slumped to the bottom of the table and were relegated to the EFL Championship. They managed to find the target a mere 31 times and would need the likes of Wilson to give them the edge to be more lethal when in search of a goal. Manager Darren Moore has a big task on his hands as he looks to find the right balance in the team and challenge again to take the Baggies back into the top tier of English Football.
Last season, Liverpool fined Bristol City a sum of £500,000 for failing to give youngster Ryan Kent enough playing time as the Robins did not feature the player in the majority of their games. Kent made 10 appearances of which he started just 6. Scottish Giants Celtic were interested in taking Wilson on loan but have now turned their interests elsewhere as the Reds were unconvinced of the amount of game time that the player will get at Celtic Park.
Wilson has all the right “ingredients” required to become a top professional. Hopefully, his potential move to West Brom will help him bring out the champion in him and announce himself in the big stage in the near future.
