Manchester City are easily one of the strongest teams in Europe at the moment. The record-breaking campaign in the Premier League last season, does not seem to have satisfied Pep Guardiola, who is now desperate to add some star players to the squad at the Etihad this summer. This has seen them linked with a number of exciting names, but what that will do, is push a few of the players currently at the club, closer to the exit door.
One such player, who does not seem to have any future at City is Joe Hart.
Born and brought up in Shrewsbury, Hart joined Manchester City in 2006 and spent two loan stints away from the club, before making a name for himself at Birmingham City, his third loan spell from Manchester City. He was wanted on a permanent deal by the Blues after he was named the player of the year for the club that season, but City refused, turning him into their first choice goalkeeper at the Etihad.
Hart also managed to break into the national side, 2008 but only turned into a first choice player in 2011, after he claimed the first of his four Golden Gloves in the Premier League. He has two league titles, two league cup titles and an FA Cup to his name and at 31, is one of the most established shot-stoppers in the country.
He is agile and makes superb saves at times, but has a knack to make unforced errors, that saw Pep Guardiola send him out on loan to Torino, just months after taking over at the Etihad. Hart found no place in the side as the Spaniard first spent on Claudio Bravo and then brought in Ederson, solving the goalkeeping issues at City for years to come.
Hart spent the last season on loan at West Ham United, and despite putting in a few good performances, lost his place in the first team midway through the season to Adrian. He also lost his place in the national side in these few years and is now linked with a move back to Birmingham this summer.
He is back training with Pep’s side for the pre-season but with just a year left on his contract, he will be up for sale. His former side Birmingham City are now 2/1 favorites to sign Hart this summer according to Sky Bet.

Clubs in the MLS, in the Scottish League and also in Ligue 1 all follow suit and it will be interesting to see where Hart lands before the start of the season. However, there is little chance that he will get a sniff in the first team at the Etihad so it is just a matter of when he leaves and not if. Do you think Hart deserves a chance under Pep?
