West Ham United are plotting a move for Sporting Cp full-back Cristiano Piccini this summer. According to recent reports, the Italian defender is on the Hammers’ radar and could be in line to make a switch to the London Stadium during this summer transfer period.
Some sources are now claiming that the Italian is currently weighing his options ahead of the new season with the East London club eager to snap him up this summer. However, Manuel Pellegrini’s side are not the only ones looking to land the Primeira Liga ace as they will face stiff competition from a whole host of clubs which include Besiktas, Manchester United, Inter Milan who are looking to recruit the 25-year-old sensation.
Piccini had featured in 40 matches for Sporting CP last season and has three assists to his name in all competitions. The Sporting CP defender has a wealth of experience in Portuguese and Italian football so he shouldn’t have much trouble coping with the pressure of playing at the top level.
The Firenze-born right-back is exactly the kind of talent who can thrive under the masterful stewardship of Pellegrini at the London Stadium so the Hammers should do everything in their power to land him.
