Reports in Italian media were suggesting earlier that Liverpool are interested in making a move for Paulo Dybala. However, Liverpool Echo is confirming that Dybala is not on Jurgen Klopp’s list of potential transfer targets. Earlier it was said that the Reds are preparing a club record transfer fee of £80m to lure the Argentine International at Anfield.
The 24-year-old managed 26 goals and seven assists last season and has slowly established himself as a fan favourite at the club. Juventus, meanwhile, have made a huge move by signing Cristiano Ronaldo so that will certainly change the dynamics of the team in the upcoming season.
Dybala is a versatile forward as he can play down the wings as well as in the role of a secondary striker. Liverpool are yet to replace someone like Philippe Coutinho since his departure in January so we can expect the Merseyside club to use that transfer money in the ongoing transfer period.
One can understand why Dybala was not on Klopp’s radar as he isn’t exactly the player he is looking for right now. The team has world-class wingers in Sadio mane and Mohamed Salah and Dybala will be too good an option to be a squad player. Up front, they have Roberto Firmino who has a great understanding with his team-mates. So it is highly unlikely that Klopp will tinker with the front three.
With Dybala out of the question, we look at three attack-minded players which Liverpool can really go after.
Nabil Fekir
The Frenchman’s deal fell through in spectacular circumstances as the Reds wanted to renegotiate some terms given the injury history the player has. Reports are now suggesting that Liverpool will once again go for him once the player is done with the World Cup in Russia.
James Rodriguez
This can be termed as a dream move for the Liverpool fans as Rodriguez is right up there with the best when on a song. He has been deemed surplus to requirements at Real Madrid and had spent the last season on loan with Bayern Munich where he was a crucial player for them. The 26 year will definitely add more firepower to Liverpool side and his signing will make the team look like genuine title contenders.

Another one of the names which the Reds will love to see at Anfield. The Spanish international has slowly gone on to impress at Real Madrid and is a crucial player for his club and country. However, with the departure of Ronaldo, it seems unlikely that the Galacticos will let Isco leave.
