An asset for any team to acquire, Leigh Griffiths is the ideal man to have on your team. A warrior at heart with an outstanding left foot, the Scotsman made his professional debut at the young age of 16. He earned himself a trial with England’s West Bromwich Albion.
A sudden change in management saw the move fall through which led to the talented striker joining Dundee. A successful two-year stint saw Griffiths eventually making a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers but the striker failed to make an impact in his debut season. Following a loan move to Hibernian, Griffiths’ quality shown through and Celtic eventually snapped him up. It is understood that Turkish Super Lig side Erzurumspor are reportedly keen on attaining the services of the striker following a successful season last time around.
The Turkish club are eager to bolster their attack before the start of the next Super Lig season. The striker has already cemented a place in the hearts of the Hoops faithful and is a key member amongst the Celtic starting 11. He has now scored 73 goals in 119 appearances for the Scottish big boys. A hard worker on the field, Griffiths has a lot of pace and knows how to find the back of the net. He is powerful on the ball and has the ability to glide past opposition defenders with ease.
Celtic won the Scottish Premiership with a 9 point difference over Aberdeen. Ten draws in the league however hampered the possibility of Celtic running away with the main prize by a country mile. They conceded a mere tally of 25 goals but the players are aware that those stats can easily be bettered.

Keeping hold of their experienced players will now be the main priority for the Celtic hierarchy if they are to seriously challenge in Europe again. Leigh Griffiths is needed at Celtic and letting him slip from the clubs grasp will be deemed as a failure in itself.
