Celtic’s reported interest in Harry Wilson is expected to die down after Liverpool‘s insertion of an unreasonable clause in the potential loan agreement. As per reports, the Reds will charge the Scottish outfit a hefty fine if their talented youngster does not register the allotted game time in the coming season.
This has been a tough pill to swallow for the Hoops faithful as Brendan Rodgers cannot guarantee minutes to any player. Last season, Charly Musonda arrived at Celtic Park with a massive reputation but eventually failed to hit the mark. The Belgian’s 18-month loan agreement was cut short as he was sent back to Chelsea after the completion of the 2017/18 campaign.
Liverpool are scared to enter into an agreement which will hinder the growth and development of their talented winger. Wilson has shown a lot of promise and was instrumental in helping a very depleted Hull side out of the relegation trouble last season.
The 21-year-old is being sought out by almost a dozen Championship clubs along with the Scottish Premiership champions. Jurgen Klopp would not mind turning down a decorated club like Celtic if he finds a better home for the 4-time Wales international.
The Bhoys, on the other hand, are in need of some quality additions after the departure of Stuart Armstrong and Patrick Roberts in the recent past. Rodgers also has to prepare for a convincing £25m Everton bid for Kieran Tierney with pre-season friendlies already lined up for the coming weeks.
The wings could use an additional figure in the club ranks and here are a few candidates whom the Celtic boss should consider.
Joel Campbell
A Costa Rica international and a surplus to Unai Emery’s needs at Arsenal, Campbell is almost the perfect fit into Rodgers’ system. With a dominant left foot, the 26-year-old knows how to command the flanks and be impactful on the attacking end of the pitch.
He is still contracted to the North London outfit but is unlikely to cut any favours with the new boss.
Josh Sims
The 21-year-old is struggling to find minutes in the Southampton ranks and could use some more playing time. He can appear from both sides of the pitch and is under contract with the Saints for another two seasons.

Nordin Amrabat
He has been returned to Watford after his loan spell with CD Leganes but how much will he get to play for the club with players like Gerrard Deulofeu, Isaan Success and Richarlison in the squad? Maybe the veteran could be handed a fresh start in Glasgow.
