Liverpool player, Sadio Mane has been voted PFA Fans’ Player of the Month for August and September. He has beaten the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Etienne Capoue to win the honour. The award was based on two months due to the Premier League kicking off in mid-August.
The forward was signed from Southampton for £34m on a five-year deal. It was Liverpool’s third signing after Joel Matip and Loris Karius. He had scored 21 goals for the Saints before making the big money move. Mane has already found the net three times and has one assist in his tally this season. The 24-year-old is proving to be an important part of Klopp’s plans.
Mane got 38,199 out of the 78,000 votes, while Kevin De Bruyne was second on the list with 24,340 votes and Etienne Capoue came third.
Sadio Mane was also adjudged as the Liverpool Player of the Month for August.
