Cristiano Ronaldo has won almost every personal accolade there is to claim in the modern game. His stint at Manchester United helped him develop into a household name. His departure from gloomy Manchester to sunny Spain all but cemented his legacy in the footballing world. Perhaps there is still time for him before he steps out of the spotlight and fades away into retirement.
A reported €120m offer is said to have been tabled by Juventus who want to sign Ronaldo. However, the chances of Real Madrid being open to losing out on their golden man is yet to be seen. There would be no stopping Juventus in their quest for more silverware if a deal were to be struck between the two European heavyweights.
Signing for current Italian Champions Juventus would be a wise decision for CR7 as Juventus would give him the opportunity to win the Italian League as well as their domestic cups.
If Ronaldo does go on to sign for them, and win Serie A, he will be able to boast the accomplishment of being a champion in England, Spain and Italy, whereas Messi lacks the confidence to test unchartered waters, finding it safer to stay within the walls of the Nou Camp.
What does the future hold in store for Cristiano Ronaldo? Should he try securing a move to Italian Giants Juventus in order to cement his legacy as the greatest footballer to ever step onto a football pitch?
There is no doubt that the current Juventus squad have the firepower up front, but adding a certain Cristiano Ronaldo to their ranks would only increase their chances of landing the Champions League. An honour they are desperately trying to fulfil ever since their last European success way back in 1996.
Ronaldo would be thrown into the starting 11 with Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain supporting the cause. A midfield led by new signing, Emre Can and a strong back line led by newly appointed captain Giorgio Chiellini would be able to provide Ronaldo with the opportunity to enter his name in the history books of the Turin giants.
However, it will be a sizeable loss from Real Madrid’s point of view without a doubt. The man who has been their talisman over the last decade and has contributed heavily in keeping their legendary status intact in the European as well as domestic circuits, his departure will definitely hurt them, leaving a void which will be difficult, if not impossible, to fill.
