According to latest reports, Arsenal are going to reignite their interest in Argentine winger Cristian Pavon who recently played a good part in World Cup for his national side. If some reports are to be believed then the Gunners had earlier made a bid for the winger in the January transfer window and it was said to be around £27m. However, Argentina giant Boca Juniors rejected that bid for their star player.
Pavon had an outstanding season for his domestic club as he managed 7 goals and 19 assists which helped them secure the domestic title. Undoubtedly, he is touted to have a big future. However, his performances in the World Cup were average and it seems like he still needs to polish his game further to be successful at the top level. The winger is just 22 so there is certainly a room for improvement and maybe at the Emirates, he can bring the best out of himself.
Arsenal are looking for a new beginning under Unai Emery and the pressure will be on the new gaffer to deliver the goods. Arsenal missed out on a Champions League spot as they finished sixth last term. Finishing in the top four will be the main goal for the Gunners in the upcoming season.
Pavon signed a new long-term deal at Boca Juniors last year which will keep him at the club until 2022. However, a move to one of the best leagues in the world will certainly be tough to ignore for the Argentine international.
Pavon is known for his pace and trickery down the wings and he is certainly a handful for the defenders. However, he needs to work on providing better end product as he usually gets into good positions but fails to find the right passes in crunch situations.
Arsenal have made some really good acquisitions in the transfer market lately, however, they clearly lack in the wings department as Alex Iwobi is the only out and out winger in the squad. The Gunners even went on to use Pierre Emerick Aubameyang down the left wing and signing an outright wide man will be of topmost priority for Arsenal.

Ever since the departure of Alexis Sanchez, Arsenal have been missing someone who can stretch play and provide the side with a bit of width. Pavon certainly has good potential but it will be interesting to see whether he will be able to cope with the physicality and the high tempo of the Premier League.
