Brendan Rodgers will be a relatively worried man as his star fullback Kieran Tierney is being linked with a move to various Premier League outfits. As per latest reports, the Scotsman is now being tipped to seal a move to Premier League heavyweights Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs might have an edge over clubs like Everton and Bournemouth as they can offer the youngster the luxury of Champions League football.
The North London club are likely to part ways with Danny Rose and that will leave Mauricio Pochettino with only one viable left back option in Ben Davies. The reports suggest that Pochettino rates the 21-year-old highly and he might be the missing element who can push them towards Premier League glory in the next few years.
At just 21, Tierney is one of the fan favourites at Celtic Park and is a boyhood Hoops supporter. However, a move to Premier League will certainly benefit the player from his career’s point of view as he will get to rub shoulders with some of the best players in the world. Moreover, the financial benefit will also increase significantly if he decides to make a switch to the English top flight.
It’s being reported that Everton are willing to offer £25m for the fullback and Spurs might have to better it if they want to get their man.
Tierney is a tough tackling fullback and is equally good while going forward as he provided 11 assists last season. He is currently one of the brightest talents for his country and is destined for big things in the future. The Scottish talent made his debut in 2015 and in his first season, he became a regular feature for his side down the left.
However, it is unlikely that he will break into the Tottenham first-team straight away as they have a great option in Ben Davies. The Scottish international will probably have to bide his time on the bench before he gets some first-team playing opportunities.

Rodgers will try to keep hold of his young star but he will be aware that a move to England will be extremely tempting for the Scottish startlet. Tierney has won the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year for three seasons in a row but a move to the Premier League will be a stern test for him and it remains to be seen what the future holds for the player.
