After a hard fought season in the Championship, Norwich City only managed to climb up to the 14th position in the league table. But the squad at Carrow Road can certainly compete with the best next season and Daniel Farke, the current manager at the club, is desperate to add some quality to his first team, to try and fight for promotion in the upcoming campaign.
Farke has already lost James Maddison, Josh Murphy and Marley Watkins from his squad from the previous season and will also not have the likes of Ebou Adams and Wes Hoolahan all of who have left the club this summer.
They have managed to secure the services of Emiliano Buendia and have brought Moritz Leitner to the club. However, they are still desperate for a few more additions and two new names that will now be added to their roster are Teemu Pukki and Ben Marshall.
While Pukki will come in on a free transfer and will probably take his time to settle in at the club, former Wolves star Ben Marshall is expected to make an immediate impact on the first team.
Born and brought up in Salford, the versatile wing-back spent eight years at the academy at Old Trafford as a teenager but made his first senior appearance for Northampton Town, on loan from Stoke City. He also spent time at Leicester City, after he broke into the England U21 side but failed to keep up his good form and slowly regressed.
He joined Wolves last summer but managed just one league start till December before he was sent out on loan to Millwall. He made decent progress at The Den, picking up three goals and five assists in 15 Championship outings, showing his ability to affect both ends of the field.
He is an excellent crosser and a specialist over a dead ball. He can play as a full-back, as a wing-back or as a winger, on either flank and at 27, has loads of experience behind him, which will certainly help the Canaries.
Norwich have completed the signing of Marshall who seems to be excited with his new move. Speaking to the media, he said, “When I heard about the interest, I was very excited and wanted it to be pushed through.”
