Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to cross the hurdles in the upcoming season as they have been falling short in crucial situations and losing games which look in their grasp. For that, they will need to bring in more reinforcements in the summer and they are currently being linked with a move for Celta Vigo midfielder Stanislav Lobotka.
Lobotka has impressed everyone in the last season as he was regular for his side and played all games in the La Liga. He made 41 appearances in all competitions and the 23-year-old was a mainstay in midfield for his side. Apart from Spurs, Napoli has also been linked with a move for the player as they look to replace Jorginho who is England bound.
The player himself shared a small news article on his facebook page regarding him being linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur and it certainly indicates that the 23-year-old fancy his chances for a move to the North London outfit.
According to reports, Napoli are willing to offer €32m for the player and Spurs might have to better it to land him. The player’s release clause is set at €50m and it remains to be seen whether any of the clubs will bid that much for the Slovakian international.
Mauricio Pochettino will realise that this could be a make or break season for him as he will try to break the trophy drought which the North London club is going through. They have been playing good football for the past 2-3 years but they still don’t have anything to show for it. It will certainly be sad to see if their golden generation of players are unable to provide something substantial on the trophies front.
Spurs are also set to lose Mousa Dembele who has been unbelievable in the midfield role for the past few years. He is being linked with a move to Chinese club and Spurs contract talk with the Belgian has reached a dead end it seems. To replace him, they will be in need of a dynamic midfielder who can control the tempo of the game and that is where Lobotka comes into the picture.

The midfielder is still just 23 but has shown a huge potential in a short amount of time. However, the challenges in the Premier League will be the sternest one for the player and it will be interesting to see whether he will flourish in England. Apart from that, Spurs will also have to fight for his signature as Napoli are looking at him as a replacement for Jorginho.
