Arsenal have been one of the busiest clubs in the transfer market this summer in Europe. Having replaced Arsene Wenger with Unai Emery, the club is now desperate to add players to the side that fit into Emery’s system next season. One such player, they have been after for quite a while now is Jean Michael Seri.
The Ivory Coast international has a £35m release clause in his contract and is wanted by clubs from all over Europe. But latest reports suggest that West Ham United and Manuel Pellegrini are leading the race for his signature. Arsenal will now be in the market for another midfielder, but who can they target? Here are three players that the Gunners should look to sign if they miss out on Seri:
Aleksandr Golovin (CSKA Moscow):
The Russia youngster is having a World Cup to remember in his home country at the moment. He has been on the radar of a few clubs in England before but his performances in the domestic league last season, coupled with the confidence he is showing at the highest stage in Russia has now made him a transfer target for Arsenal. Reports suggest that CSKA would be open to selling him at around €25m, which is an absolute steal in the current transfer market.
Adrien Rabiot (PSG):
The PSG midfielder was unsettled last season and was vocal about his interest in playing in the Premier League. Liverpool are closely linked with a move for the 23-year old while Arsenal are not too far behind. He may not be as creative a presence as Seri in the middle of the park but Rabiot is an established star, who can walk into the first team and can solve the midfield problems at the club for years to come.

Ever Banega (Sevilla):
The latest name linked with a move to Arsenal is Ever Banega. Having worked with the Argentine in Spain for a couple of years, Emery knows him inside out and reports suggest that he is ready to make a move for him in the upcoming days. It is understood that the 29-year old has a release clause of just €20m, while Arsenal may even be able to land him for as low as €12m. At that price, Banega is a player Arsenal just cannot afford not to sign. He is experienced at the highest stage and will take no time to settle in under Emery and is a decent find for Arsenal.
