In over two years at Anfield, Jurgen Klopp has certainly helped establish Liverpool as a European giant after almost a decade. He is yet to win a trophy with Liverpool but is certainly doing his best to take the club in the right direction.
Before Klopp joined the club, Liverpool transfer business only added to the frustration of the fans, who have last seen their club lift a trophy back in 2012. However, the German tactician has managed to lure even the best of the stars in Europe to the club and gone are those days where fans are disappointed in the transfer windows.
Klopp has added Fabinho and Naby Keita to his squad from the last season and his recruitment policy has seen fans stop questioning his transfer targets. But one such player who is getting mixed reactions again from the fans is Jack Grealish.
A transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur as well, Grealish was born and brought up in Birmingham and joined one of the most famed academies in his city at Aston Villa. He broke into the senior side in 2013 after a loan spell with Notts County and has ever since been a regular in the first team.
He stepped up his game last season, registering three goals and six assists in 22 league stars, helping Villa to a place in the playoffs. He failed to get them to the top flight but might now be tempted to play at the highest level next season.
A central midfielder by trait, Grealish is a strong footballer with decent holdup play in the middle of the park. He is protective of the ball, hardly misplaces a pass and is ready to take on defenders to try and find space and time for him and his teammates. At just 22, he is prone to giving away needless fouls but his willingness to drop deep to add to the backline is what makes him effective.
He is a team player, ready to throw himself about but his ability to create chances with the ball at his feet and the ability to test keepers from long range, making him a decent acquisition for Liverpool.
The Reds lack creative midfielders in the side after letting Philippe Coutinho leave. They are desperate for Nabil Fekir but are finding it tough to land him this summer. Klopp seems determined to add another creative presence to the midfield and Grealish could be a decent option.

Reports suggest that he would cost £40m, which is a bit over the top but for a homegrown talent with such potential, Grealish does justify his price tag and could be Liverpool last option if they miss out on other top transfer targets. But do you think he should be made a priority?
