Chelsea are looking to make the most of the new season and might be on their way to having a new manager in the form of Maurizio Sarri, who has been strongly linked with a move to the West London club in order to replace his compatriot Antonio Conte. The Blues, apart from making changes in their management, are also looking to bring in some fresh faces and one of them can be the Belgian star Radja Nainggolan.
The 30-year-old was left out of the Belgian squad that boarded the plane to Russia and he declared his international retirement right after the incident. Now with his full concentration being on club football, the AS Roma midfielder can be a good addition to any of the top sides in Europe and Chelsea might be lured into bringing him to Stamford Bridge this summer.
The former Premier League champions had a forgettable season the last term as they went onto finish on the fifth spot in the league table, missing out on Champions League football. Recent reports are indicative of the fact that their owner, Roman Abrahamovic, has been denied a visa to the UK, which might ring alarm bells for the West London outfit regarding its long-term future.
However, Chelsea are trying to put their best foot forward to strengthen the side to be back into the challenge of claiming a spot in the top four of the Premier League and the potential acquisition of Nainggolan can be a huge boost for their future.
Known for his immense work rate and absolute physicality, the Belgian enforcer is one of the best midfielders of his generation. As per reports, the Blues can bring in the player for £35m, the asking price slapped on the 30-year old by the Serie A giants. It might not be a big ask for a cash-rich club like Chelsea and the player can be a very good addition to their side.
Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has been the lifeline for the Blues and was a vital cog in their side since his arrival from Leicester City in 2016/17 season. He played a very influential role in the Chelsea midfield alongside Nemanja Matic to help them lift the Premier League trophy in his very first season at Stamford Bridge but had to struggle throughout the last term to find the right partner after the departure of Matic to Manchester United last summer.

While the likes of Tiemoue Bakayoko and Danny Drinkwater have failed to provide the perfect cover for the Frenchman in the middle of the pitch, Nainggolan can be the right man to partner Kante in doing the dirty work in the Chelsea midfield and help the Blues to bring back the glory days once again.
