No other club in the Premier League has been as busy as Arsenal this summer transfer window. They have gotten rid of a lot of deadwood at the club in the last 12 months and have also replaced Arsene Wenger at the helm with the exciting Unai Emery for the next season.
So they are now busy trying to improve the first team at Emirates and continue to be linked with some of the finest stars in Europe. But one player now linked with a move to London is Aleksandr Golovin.
The Russia international started the World Cup 2018 in fine fashion against Saudi Arabia, practically throwing himself into the transfer market this summer. He has been a transfer target for Italian giants Juventus for quite a while now but it is understood that the player prefers a move to the Premier League, giving Arsenal a huge boost.
At just 22, the midfielder has already made 21 appearances for the national side and is one of the finest players on display in the country. He rose through the ranks at the CSKA Moscow academy, making his debut for the senior side in 2014. He has ever since been a mainstay in the side and made a total of 38 appearances across all competitions last season for his side.
He registered seven goals and five assists in this time and has only improved by the week. A central midfielder by trait, Golovin is an attack-minded midfielder, who constantly searches for space in the final third. He can play in any of the roles in the attack, even on the wing, but is at his best in a central role, where he can control the game.
He is a decent dribbler, with a power shot on his feet. He is happy to hold on to the ball under danger, thanks to his strength and technique to get out of the toughest of spots. He is also ready to do the dirty work in the middle of the park, where he constantly looks to break up play and keep his side on the front foot.
He has gathered loads of experience at the highest level already and is a decent option for Arsenal to have. And the recent comments from Golovin Sr, claiming that he is ready to join an English side, will push Arsenal to make a move for him after the end of the World Cup.

His performances in the FIFA tournament might push his price up but at the moment, he is a player they should definitely look to sign.
