The situation at Chelsea is turning into a frustrating one for fans as the Blues are yet to sack Antonio Conte, who is widely rumoured to be shown the exit door this summer. The former Juventus manager won the league title in his very first season in charge at Stamford Bridge and also gave them the FA Cup last season.
He labelled himself as a ‘serial winner’ after the FA Cup triumph but the lack of progress last season is expected to see him face the sack this summer. The Blues have been looking at Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri as the best replacement for Conte but are yet to land him.
The Italian side have already appointed Carlo Ancelotti, even as Sarri still remains contracted with the club. However, reports now claim that Chelsea are close to appointing the Italian manager as a replacement for Conte and that it might be announced within a week. But what will the former Napoli boss bring to Stamford Bridge?
Having started his managerial career with Pescara, the 59-year-old has taken charge of seven different clubs before he settled down in Naples in 2015. In his three years at the club, he helped them to a consistent place in Europe and was also named the manager of the year for the 2016-17 campaign in Italy.
Known to use a 4-3-3 system, a complete shift from the 3-5-2 that Conte used at Chelsea last season, Sarri has a more attacking minded setup, where he loves his players to be pro-active. He has a unique style of managing his side, and with star players to play to their strengths, Sarri’s Chelsea can certainly get the better of the best teams in Europe.
The biggest issue for the Blues is the fact that they are about to sack a ‘serial winner’ for a manager who is yet to win a major trophy in his career. Besides he is unaware of the challenges of the Premier League, which might make the job difficult for the Italian to deliver immediate results at Stamford Bridge.

It is sure that Sarri will certainly target particular stars that fit into his system and might also help Chelsea land a few of the many exciting players currently at Napoli.
He is 59 and has a decent experience at the highest level and though is yet to prove himself, is a decent acquisition for the Blues. He will add some excitement to the squad and will give the fans a renewed hope, taking them out of the rather defensive style of play, Conte has stamped at the club.
But do you think Sarri is the right man for Chelsea?
