The future of Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge is yet to be resolved but Chelsea have started scouting for transfer target for a move this summer. The recruitment department at the club will be in overdrive, without a manager to oversee their work, so it does not come as a surprise that a wide variety of stars are linked with a move to London this summer.
But one player Chelsea seem desperate to land is Jack Grealish.
A transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur as well, Grealish was one of the most exciting players in the Championship last season, but failed to get Aston Villa back into the Premier League. He amassed three goals and six assists in 22 league starts and was one of the best performers for the Villains last season.
He has been at the club since 2012, but enjoyed his most influential campaign last time around and is already wanted by a number of top clubs in the Premier League. Reports claim that Aston Villa will hold out for a free close to £40m but their financial position might force them to sell at a lesser price.
It is now understood that Grealish also wants to stay back at Villa Park for another year and Chelsea are now looking to pull out a masterstroke, to try and land the 22-year old this summer. And exclusive from TeamTalk claims that the Blues are willing to pay up to £30m for his services this summer and to lure Villa into selling, they are also ready to loan him back to the Championship club, for another. Do you think this deal makes sense for Chelsea?
A central midfielder, who can play in an attacking role, Grealish is a gifted footballer, perfect for the English. He is strong in hold up play, can dribble past a crowd of defenders in the middle of the park and find his teammates in space. He can test the keeper from long range and can also provide through balls, breaking even the best of defence lines.

He is tricky to defend and is smart in buying fouls while his willingness to put in the hard yards and win the ball in the midfield is certain to make him a superstar in the future. He has made 7 appearances for the England U21 side, and has also made 34 PL appearances, and is ready for the next step.
So it does not come as a surprise that he is in demand at the moment and Chelsea’s move to loan him back to Villa might be the best way to land him this summer. For his potential, he is an absolute steal at his price and is a player Chelsea should definitely look to sign.
