According to latest reports in Turkish media, Leicester City forward Ahmed Musa can join the Turkish giants Galatasaray on a season-long loan. Leicester signed him in 2016 summer for a then club record fee of £16.6m and he has managed just 33 appearances for them in all competitions since then. Musa spent the second half of 2017-18 season on loan with his former club CSKA Moscow and it is believed that the Foxes will sell him in the summer transfer window.
Reports suggest that the Foxes are looking to recoup close to the price they paid to have him at King Power Stadium. Musa made just one appearance for the Foxes last season and it seems like he has fallen out of favour with the club’s coaches and management team.
The forward has been linked with a move to the newly promoted side Wolverhampton Wanderers as well and it remains to be seen whether the West Midlands club will move in for him. The Nigerian is expected to play a big part for his country in the World Cup in Russia and is expected to the lead the line for them. The 25-year-old is a versatile player as he can play down the flanks as well.
Musa’s first team opportunities at King Power Stadium has been limited as he has been fighting for a place with Jamie Vardy who has been tremendous for the Foxes in the last few years. The Nigerian has usually been used down the wings and that hasn’t really suited him. The forward has managed just 5 goals for Leicester in his two-year spell at the club.
The striker had a good loan spell with the Russian giants in 2018 and he managed 6 goals and 3 assists in 10 appearances. Galatasaray will certainly have a good prospect at their disposal if they secure his services as he has great pace and is willing to make those clever runs in between the defence lines. His finishing skills are also top notch and he could have succeeded at the King Power stadium if he would have been given a good run of games in his preferred position which is up front.

It seems clear that the Nigerian is not in Claude Puel’s plan for the future as he allowed him to leave in the January transfer window on loan to the Russian club. The Foxes might want to sell him permanently in the summer but as of now, Galatasaray wants to have him on a season-long loan at their club.
