Antonio Conte’s stint as the manager of Chelsea may have started with some success but the way the Italian conducted his team in the second season has seen many Chelsea fans ask for him to be sacked. The Blues are desperately looking for managers who can replace him at Stamford Bridge, and that has certainly affected their chance of signing top quality stars this summer.
The unsettled squad at the club now might see a few of the first team stars look towards the exit door and one such player, who now is extensively linked with an exit is N’Golo Kante.
The former Caen man joined Leicester City back in 2015 and in his only season at the club, he helped the Foxes to a historic league title, that will forever be remembered. His exploits in the middle of the park under Claudio Ranieri saw Chelsea snap him up that summer.
Kante did not disappoint, putting in some superb performances for the Blues, helping them to a league title in Conte’s first season in charge at the club. He also was named the PFA Player of the Year for the 2016/17 season and is easily one of the best midfielders in Europe at the moment.
With an average heat map that can turn the entire green field into red, the French international is now a crucial part of the national team fighting for the World Cup in Russia. He was also one of the best and most consistent players at Stamford Bridge last season and is a player they just cannot afford to lose.
However, reports suggest that French giants PSG are interested in his services this summer. A story from Spain claims that Kante’s agent has already opened talks with Thomas Tuchel at PSG and that a move could be on the cards this summer. So can Chelsea afford to lose him?
With Conte set to be leaving, Chelsea are looking for a squad overhaul this summer but will certainly want to retain top assets for another. But the likes of Eden Hazard, Willian, and Thibaut Courtois are all being linked with an exit, at one of the darkest times in recent years at SW6.

Losing Kante might make Chelsea’s pockets heavy but the Paris born midfielder is almost irreplaceable at the moment and it makes no sense for the Blues to let him move back to Ligue 1 this summer. It is time for Chelsea to show their strength and pull in the transfer market and if they are to maintain their status as European giants, they should add quality to their side and not lose any of their star players this summer.
