Sources close to the transfer negotiations claim that Bayern Munich have come forward with a €60m bid for prolific winger, Leon Bailey. The Bayer Leverkusen youngster is on the shortlist of quite a few European outfits after impressing in Germany last term.
Bailey is one of the hottest talents in the German top-flight, scoring 12 and assisting 6 in 34 appearances this season. He is still just 20 and has already shown signs of a highly illustrious future.
The Jamaican is almost untouchable on the wide areas with a couple of rocket boosters for legs. He almost glides over the pitch when on the run and will get the best of all defenders, if given the time and space.
Bailey has shown great maturity at such a young age and is full of enthusiasm. He utilises his dominant left foot to deliver some of the best crosses into the opposition box. Standing at 5 feet 11, he is agile and has the skill to take on defenders from all corners of the pitch.
Bailey has shown a great eye for the right pass as well right along with a keen eye for goal. He has been capped just once for the Jamaica U23 team which is expected to change soon enough.
The 20-year-old deserves to be called up by one of the continent’s best teams but is it the right time for a switch? Bailey has only stood out this season and is still developing into a prime starting option.
He has only managed to carve out a starting spot due to the absence of tough competition in the Leverkusen squad. That will not be the case at the Allianz Arena. Franck Ribery continues to defy all logic by holding onto his starting spot in the Munich team while being 35.
Arjen Robben has just agreed to a one-year extension with the German giants and has contributed with 7 goals and 12 assists in his 34 appearances last term.
The duo has been so lethal from the wings that youngster, Kingsley Coman, has struggled to manage more than a sporadic appearance every now and then. Douglas Costa had to force his way out to Juventus to receive more playing time and is even close to making his move permanent.

These are not exactly promising signs for a youngster who has only recently found his feet in top-flight football. It would be wise for Bailey to continue playing for Leverkusen for another season before considering such attractive opportunities.
