Leeds United are set to part ways with Hadi Sacko when the transfer window opens in the summer. According to recent reports, the Mali international has revealed that he is unsure about his future at Elland Road. The 24-year-old has flattered to deceive with his performances this season and has failed to earn regular first-team opportunities under the stewardship of Paul Heckingbottom.
In a recent post on Instagram, Sacko addressed his future and was quoted to have said, “Not the season I expected on personal plan but no matter what you guys always have been great support, through all the ups and downs we faced this year.
“I just wanted to say thank you, I don’t know what the future will be made of but one thing is sure, I’ll never forget my time here. #MOT #LUFC”
Sacko has made just 18 appearances for the Peacocks across all competitions this term with just one goal to his name in the EFL Cup. He has primarily been deployed on the right wing by Heckingbottom but his performances for the West Yorkshire outfit has left a lot to be desired.
With the Peacocks forward set to depart the club this summer, let’s take a look at three potential options for Heckingbottom to consider in this summer transfer period.
Jordan Siebatcheu
If the Peacocks are looking to build for the future, they could choose to make an offer for this talented starlet. The Stade Reims forward has lit up the Ligue 2 with some majestic performances this season. The 21-year-old forward has made 35 appearances for the French side this term, scoring 16 goals while creating 7 assists in all competitions. Siebatcheu has a lot of potential which Leeds United could look to utilise in the years to come.
Thierry Ambrose
The Dutch Eredivisie striker has been in fine form for NAC Breda this season and is exactly the kind of forward that Heckingbottom’s side could benefit from. The French youngster has featured in 31 matches for the Dutch team this season, scoring 10 goals while providing 6 assists in all competitions. At 21, Ambrose has shown a lot of promise to grow and develop his game and become a future star in English football.
