Chelsea are plotting a sensational move for Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino this summer. According to recent reports, the Blues are interested in appointing the Argentine manager as a successor to Antonio Conte in the summer. It is believed that Pochettino, who is locked in negotiations with Spurs chief Daniel Levy over his transfer kitty for the upcoming summer transfer period, is aware of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich’s interest on his services.
Some sources have recently claimed that the current Blues boss, Antonio Conte will be given the sack after Chelsea’s FA Cup final against Manchester United this weekend. Although, the West London outfit were unable to earn UEFA Champions League football for next season, yet they are determined to bring in Pochettino as part of a long-term strategy at Stamford Bridge.
The Argentine tactician has been left frustrated with Spurs’ lack of spending in recent transfer windows and has revealed his frustrations publicly following Tottenham’s 5-4 victory over Leicester City on Sunday. His future remains unclear at the North London club which could pave the way for him to join Chelsea this summer.
Pochettino guided his team to a well-deserved third-placed finish in the league standings with a healthy tally of 77 points in 38 league matches. However, he has failed to deliver a major silverware during his time with the North Londoners which will be a cause for concern going into the new campaign.
The appointment of Pochettino could prove to be a major coup for the Blues if they manage to convince him to jump ship this summer. The West Londoners are in need of a manager, who can have a long-term strategy to build for a bigger and brighter future at Stamford Bridge.

His record at Tottenham has been outstanding, to say the least, as Pochettino has managed to change the North London team from Premier League strugglers to UEFA Champions League regulars over the last few years. It remains to be seen what lies ahead in the future of Pochettino and whether he ends up plying his trade at Stamford Bridge next season.
