It is not every player who has the top six clubs in England chasing his signature but that seems to be the case for Jorginho. Reports in England are confirming that a host of English clubs are lining up bids for the Napoli star. The player has been extremely influential in his game while playing for the Italian side this season.
Chelsea are said to be one of the contenders fighting for Jorginho’s signature but the league champions of 2018 Manchester City are being considered as the favourites to get the player’s signature. He has been scouted extensively by the English clubs and with the summer transfer window set to open in a few weeks, Napoli will have to brace themselves for multiple bids.
Jorginho has been instrumental in the midfield and has controlled the tempo of the team. He has helped the front three of Dries Mertens, Jose Callejon and Lorenzo Insigne deliver the goods alongside Marek Hamsik. Jorginho has been perfect in playing the number 8 role in the team for Sarri. It is the balance provided by Jorginho to the attacking threat of Napoli that has seen the Naples side have a brilliant season.
Napoli are currently second in the league and were in contention to win the league until recently. However, with the season now set to get over, Napoli bosses will have to focus on not losing their star players like Jorginho to the likes of Chelsea. As for the Blues, they are having a rather difficult season.
The Blues have a lot of complications to deal with including the decision of continuing with their present manager Antonio Conte. The Italian proved his merit last time out when he won the league with Chelsea last season but might fail to deliver a top-four place this time around, placing his job on the line.
Regardless of Conte’s future, the Blues will have to strengthen their midfield. They have a star player in N’Golo Kante who has been extremely impressive all season. The Frenchman recently won Chelsea’s Player of the Year award but needs a partner in midfield to help deliver the goods.

He has Cesc Fabregas who is good in attack but cannot be trusted defensively. The other option is Tiemoue Bakayoko, who simply is not up to the standards of Chelsea. This would make the signature of Jorginho a big step forward for the club and they should get it done before his market value rises even more.
