Leeds United could part ways with their Swedish striker Paweł Cibicki in the summer. Cibicki was spotted watching Legia Warszawa vs. Wisła Płock and there have been speculations regarding his move to Warszawa. The striker has failed to make regular first-team appearances and he could be sold after spending just one season at the Elland road.
Paul Heckingbottom’s side had a poor outing in the Championship this season as they failed to mount any sort of challenge for the playoff spots. The English manager has admitted that his team will be in need of a surgery to do well next season. The Whites managed just 59 goals in the league and everyone will admit that to have any chance of qualifying for the playoffs, that’s just not good enough.
Leeds have used the likes of Samuel Saiz, Chris Wood and Kemar Roofe for the most part of the season as their attacking options. However, their performances have been below par, to say the least. Paweł Cibicki has featured 12 times in all competition but he didn’t manage to open his scoring account and after a poor stint in England, it seems his time is up with the Peacocks.
The striker was highly rated when he started his career with Swedish Outfit Malmo and there were reports of him being scouted by top European clubs. However, it seems that he has failed to adapt to English football and that has come as a disappointment to the Leeds United faithful as they would have been hoping for a better performance from their foreign recruit.
The striker has represented both Poland and Sweden at youth level as he holds a dual citizenship. However, he later decided to represent his country of birth, Sweden. He is traditionally a centre-forward but can play down the flanks as well.

The striker has three years left on his contract but after a dismal season, Heckingbottom shouldn’t have any issues in getting rid of him from the squad. The money gained by selling him could be utilised by the Peacocks to sign another player.
This time around, they should probably look to get a proven player with a considerable amount of experience in English football. It has been often seen that players from other countries take time to settle in England and time is not what Heckingbottom has in his hand as he looks to improve the squad for the next season.
