Arsenal are set to bid farewell to their boss Arsene Wenger after this season. The iconic Frenchman has been in charge at the club for over two decades, winning multiple trophies in the process. He is now set to leave the centre stage for a new man to walk in and take charge.
The Gunners have signed truckloads of exciting talents during Wenger’s tenure including the likes of Thierry Henry, Sol Campbell, Robert Pires, Patrick Vieira, Davor Suker, Andrey Arshavin and Cesc Fabregas. With “Le Professeur”, the nickname by which he was famous among the faithful, now set to leave, there will be a new manager who will be put in charge and he will be tasked with carrying on the legacy at Arsenal.
The club has not had the best time during the last few seasons but they have shown intent this season by bringing in the likes of Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Of the multiple managers who have been linked with the hot seat at the Emirates, the name of the Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has also popped up.
The Italian has done an excellent job with the Turin side and should he come to Arsenal, he might want to reshape the team at the Emirates. Here are three players he should sign to improve the Gunners team on his arrival.
Jack Butland
Arsenal will need a new goalkeeper sooner rather than later. Petr Cech is getting older by the day and a young custodian like Butland could prove to be an excellent replacement. He will not be difficult be to pry away from Stoke City who just got relegated. The Englishman is full of talent and under Allegri’s tutelage, he can become a star for the future.
Toby Alderweireld
The last centre back Arsenal signed from Tottenham Hotspur was Sol Campbell and he turned out to be a blockbuster signing. Toby Alderweireld has been struggling this season at Spurs owing to his injury and the unresolved contract situation and Arsenal could try to pry him away as well. He is a competent defender on the ball and is a brilliant reader of the game as well and can be the perfect man to restore the strength in their backline, which has been fading away in the recent times.

The Lazio star has been impressive this season. He primarily plays as a number 8 but is more than capable of playing as a holding midfielder as well. He can make surging runs into the box, has a sharp vision to spread the game and is strong enough to get past his opponents in the midfield. He can be the perfect addition to the Arsenal midfield and Allegri should go for him on his arrival at the Emirates.
