Leicester City goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic could be moving away from the club in the summer. A whole host of clubs including Derby County, Middlesbrough and West Brom are interested in signing the player. He joined the Foxes last season only but has managed just two appearances and both came in the FA Cup. The shot-stopper must have joined with high hopes from Hull City but he has been left frustrated, having failed to make it to the bench at King Power’s stadium on most occasions.
Leicester have been blessed with a top pedigree custodian like Kasper Schmeichel and he has been instrumental for them over the years. However, he has been inconsistent this season and has made some costly errors. The Foxes are currently in a bad run of form and there is an uncertainty in the air about their manager Claude Puel’s future as well.
Jakupovic moved away from Hull City after they were relegated but his career has stalled at Leicester City. He has been playing and training with the reserve team and is unhappy with the way he has been mistreated at the club.
The custodian was one of the favourites among the fans when he was in Hull City as he made some terrific saves when he was with the Tigers. However, his performances were not enough to save Hull City from relegation.
He received his first national call-up for Bosnia and Herzegovina when he was just 21 but declined to play for them. He made his debut for Switzerland, as he had a dual citizenship, some years later but he later decided to stop representing the Swiss team due to family reasons.
Hull City fans will fondly remember him for his performance as he was their one of the best players at the KCOM stadium when they were relegated. It was expected that his career graph will be on the upward trajectory after such a stint. But at Leicester, he has even failed to become a second choice goalkeeper as Claude Puel has preferred Ben Hamer over him when Schmeichel was out injured for some time. It is expected that the 33-year-old stopper will be sold in the summer transfer window.

Jakupovic will surely be looking for new suitors in the summer to revive his career. He is still 33 and might have some more years of football left in him. With a host of clubs looking to sign him, it is expected that he will be out from wilderness and will be back playing first-team football soon.
