An emotional week is set on the cards for not just Arsenal fans but every football lover as the Gunners’ legendary manager Arsene Wenger has entered his final week as the boss for the North London outfit.
It was a fitting goodbye at home to the Frenchman last week when Arsenal thrashed Burnley 5-0. The Gunners turned up the music and Burnley danced to it as goals flew in left, right and centre. The 5-0 match was a just portrayal of exactly what football is defined as by Wenger.
Free-flowing, electrifying and non-stop attacking; everything was on the cards as Arsenal won the race to the sixth spot rather comfortably. The Gunners then gave their boss a classy farewell whose last words at the Emirates about upholding the club’s values echoed rather resoundingly throughout the stadium. Winner or not, Wenger is in a class of his own.
Maybe his success in terms of trophies had decreased in the last decade but there is little disputing the power and knowledge of football that the Frenchman possesses and how he channelled every second of it into Arsenal’s well being.
Attention must now turn towards the away trip to Leicester City where things are likely to be more difficult than the 5-0 win against Sean Dyche’s Burnley. Arsenal are the holders of a terrible away record this season having lost all six of their matches on the road this year.
The players must assert themselves more on the pitch while playing away from the Emirates and if motivation is lacking, they only need to remember that their boss is not going to be sticking around for a very long time anymore. As every player must always have done once in their time, the Gunners must play for Wenger and prove their worth on the pitch.
Wenger will have to pick a sturdier side and this is how he might want to set up the team for the match against Leicester.

Defence
Petr Cech should continue in goal with Shkodran Mustafi to make a comeback next to Calum Chambers in defence. Hector Bellerin should play as a left back while Sead Kolasinac can play at left back.
Midfield
Granit Xhaka can be expected to start next to Aaron Ramsey in midfield with Jack Wilshere ahead of them.
Attack
Alex Iwobi can start from the left with Alexandre Lacazette on the right and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as the centre-forward.
