Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly accepted Juventus’ move for their French striker Anthony Martial. According to recent reports, the Red Devils could part ways with their prized asset after the French international fell out with Mourinho in recent weeks.
Martial has been left frustrated with Mourinho’s treatment of him and could now look to make a switch, when the summer transfer window opens, in search of greener pastures. It is believed that Alexis Sanchez’s arrival from Arsenal during the January transfer period has put him further down the United pecking order and some sources are now claiming that United are ready to allow Martial leave for Juventus this summer.
However, Manchester United chief executive Ed Woodward is reportedly a massive fan of the French talent and only time will tell whether he will sanction such a move.
With Martial set to part ways with the Red Devils this summer, let’s take a look at three replacements that Jose Mourinho could look to consider during the summer transfer period.
Hirving Lozano
The versatile Mexican attacker plays for PSV Eindhoven and has enjoyed a successful campaign so far. The 22-year-old youngster has put in some outstanding displays in the Dutch Eredivisie so far.
The Mexican international has scored 19 goals while creating 11 assists in 33 appearances for the Dutch side this season in all competitions. Lozano is exactly the kind of talent that the Red Devils should aim for if they want to replace Martial. The Eredivisie ace has a lot of potential and can develop into a world-beater for Manchester United in the coming years if the club manages to land him this summer.
Leon Bailey
The Bayer 04 Leverkusen playmaker has been in a rich vein of form for his club during the course of this season and has lit up the Bundesliga with some eye-catching performances so far. The 20-year-old Jamaican youngster has registered 12 goals and made 6 assists in 33 matches for the Bundesliga outfit this term across all competitions. Bailey has all the makings of a future star and Mourinho’s side can look to capitalise on his potential by sealing a move for him at the end of the season.

Mikel Oyarzabal
The 21-year-old Eibar-born winger has featured in 41 matches for Real Sociedad this season and has found the back of the net 13 times while grabbing 7 assists across all competitions so far. The La Liga ace is another talented youngster who has the potential to flourish at Old Trafford if the Manchester club secures his signature during the off-season.
