Stoke City have been relegated after their recent loss to Crystal Palace. They took the lead through their inspiring midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri but failed to hold it as Palace staged a comeback and secured a 2-1 win. With just one game to go, they are three points off the relegation zone and their season is over.
In a situation like this, they will certainly lose out on their key assets as other Premier League clubs will be looking to pounce on them. The first name which can be off from the Bet 365 stadium is Xherdan Shaqiri as he is more than good enough to play in the English top division. He has a contract which will keep him at the club until 2020 but the Potters might have to sell their talismanic midfielder as they will be going down to the Championship and will no longer receive the financial benefits of playing in the Premier League.
Regarding his future the Swiss international recently said-”Everybody knows I am a player who wants to play at the highest level – this is pretty normal, But I still have two years contract with this club. We have to see first what happens here.”
Stoke are certain now to go down and we look at three clubs who can go after the 26-year-old winger to give him a way out from the Bet 365 stadium.
Leicester city can themselves lose out on their influential midfielder Riyad Mahrez as he created a bit of a fiasco in the January transfer window by pushing for a move to Manchester City.
It is expected that Leicester will sell him in the summer and will have to look for replacements as Mahrez has been one of their best players in the last few seasons. Shaqiri will be an ideal like for like replacement and the fact that he has an experience of playing in the English top flight will make him the perfect fit for Claude Puel.
The Toons will be on the lookout for some attacking players in the summer transfer window as they have struggled on occassions to score up front. They can look at Shaqiri to solve some of their goal-scoring woes.

The Hammers have already been linked with a move for him and the move can materialize in the summer transfer window. Manuel Lanzini and Michail Antonio have been injury prone and Hammers have missed a bit of firepower up front. David Moyes can go for Shaqiri to bring more attacking talent into the squad.
