Manchester United are currently negotiating a deal with midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger to release him from his current contract. The midfielder was signed from Bayern Munich € 9m by then manager Louis Vaan Gaal and now under new manager Jose Mourinho he seemed to be surplus requirements. Mourinho has already told the veteran midfielder that he is not in his plans.
Basti is currently earning a whopping £150,000-a-week at United want his wages to be fully paid before leaving Old Trafford. The 32-year-old midfielder who recently retired from the International team has played 31 matches for the English side.
Bastian is currently training with the United Youth team. The veteran was earlier linked with Sporting Lisbon but he rejected it. He has also expressed his interest to play in the Major League Soccer.
Jose Mourinho didn’t include him in the Europa League squad but he was included in the Premier League squad. If Manchester United fail to offload the midfielder then they have to shell out a whopping £ 14m to keep the midfielder who has 18 months left on his contract.
