Tottenham Hotspur midfield ace, Christian Eriksen have reportedly drawn the eyes of Ligue 1 champions, Paris Saint-Germain. The Danish international has been in prolific form throughout the 2017/18 campaign and is currently being valued at £100m by the French giants.
PSG are set to undergo major changes at the end of the present campaign and Eriksen could be one of them. Unai Emery looks set to be stripped of his managerial position with Thomas Tuchel looking the likely replacement.
The Parisians are on a mission to overcome Real Madrid and rest of the European elites to the Champions League trophy in the near future. To carry out such an ambitious goal, the club ideally needs world-class talents like Eriksen and Neymar in the team.
They did manage to sign the latter last summer but are still without the Tottenham maestro. Eriksen is only 26 years old and has already racked up 223 appearances for the North London outfit.
He is the best player in the Denmark national team with 77 caps and 21 goals to his name. The 2018 FIFA World Cup will be crucial as his price can rise significantly if the European nation does well in the competition.
The player has quite deserved the high praise from his manager, Mauricio Pochettino who hailed him to be of the same pedigree as Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva. Eriksen certainly fits the bills in terms of his involvement in the Spurs attack.
He has netted the ball on 14 occasions and has set his teammates up 10 times this season. His creative abilities are second to none. Eriksen can drift in and out of the wing and attacking-midfield positions to formulate all of Tottenham’s attacks.
He has also improved significantly over the past two seasons and is at the peak of his playing career. The PSG attacking lineup will be thrilled to have a player of his pedigree setting up the game from the central locations.
Currently, Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani can be named as one of the formidable final three in all of Europe. Even if their side failed to break through the knockout stages of the European competition, they scored 25 times in the group stages and 106 times in the league this campaign.
Eriksen will be the perfect fit for them and could potentially place the team in the same talent pool as Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Barcelona. However, that could spell major trouble for Tottenham, who are trying to create a future for themselves in England’s top-flight.

Losing Eriksen will send the team backwards and no money would be able to replace the Dane in such a short period of time, as evident from the departure of Gareth Bale 4 seasons back.
