West Ham United will be travelling to the King Power Stadium to take on the Leicester City. This tie will be of a huge significance for the Hammers as they will be facing Manchester United and Everton in their last two games. They are just three points above the relegation and a defeat against the Foxes could set them back. A positive result will certainly secure their future in the English top flight and the Hammers will be treating this game as a cup final.
Leicester, on the other hand, has no such worries as they are sitting in the top half of the table. However, their form has been dismal as they have picked up just one point in their last four games. This can certainly happen to a team who don’t have much to play for. They are not in a position to secure a spot in Europe and they have certainly lost their intensity in the last few games.
Marko Arnautovic has been a key player for them in the latter half of the season as he has scored some crucial goals and David Moyes will be backing on him again to provide attacking outlet upfront. If things don’t go his way he can always bring on Andy Caroll to change things up.
This is how the Hammers will most likely line up-
Formation(3-4-3)
Defence-
Joe Hart was ineligible to play against his parent team and will be available for selection again. However, Adrian will be expected to keep his place for this encounter. He will be shielded by the back three of Angelo Ogbanna, Declan Rice and Aaron Cresswell.
Midfield-
Arthur Masuaku and Pablo Zabaleta have thrived in their wingback roles and will be expected to don the same hat. The experienced Mark Noble will start in the middle of the park. The experienced captain is having an average season as he is not been able to cope with the demands of Premier League day in day out. He will be partnered by Cheikhou Kouyate.
Attack-
Joao Mario, the Inter Milan loanee has been a crucial player for the Hammers and will be expected to start in the front three. Lanzini will be expected to start from the right. Moyes has been unlucky as he has missed Michail Antonio this season and even Manuel Lanzini was out with injury for quite some time. Arnautovic will start in his false 9 role and will lead the attack for the Hammers.
