Leicester City will take on West Ham United at the King Power Stadium this weekend. The Foxes are coming on the back of a dismal result against Crystal Palace as they were thrashed 5-0. However, Leicester are pretty much safe from the relegation zone as they are sitting on the 9th spot.
The Foxes will try to improve further next season as they were expected to do much better this term. They will probably have to look for some new signings to mount up a better challenge in the next season. They also might lose out on their key players like Riyad Mahrez, Harry Maguire and Wilfred Ndidi. Claude Puel will certainly need some financial support to help the Foxes do better.
West Ham, on the other hand, are trying tooth and nail to stay up in the Premier League as they are just three points above the relegation zone and a defeat against Leicester this weekend could be costly for them as they will be facing the much-fancied Manchester United and an in-form Everton in their last two games of the season.
Marc Albrighton will be unavailable for the clash as he will be serving a one-game ban. Ndidi suffered a knock in the previous encounter but will be expected to start.
Here is how Leicester might lineup against the Hammers this weekend-
Formation(4-4-1-1)
Defence-
Peter Schmeichel will be expected to start in goal but he is having a poor season as he has been behind some costly errors. Harry Maguire and Wes Morgan will be the expected centre-back pairing. Maguire has been impressive this term and will be on England’s plane to Russia for the 2018 World Cup. Ben Chilwell will be expected to start in his left back role and Danny Simpson will be starting from the right to complete the back four.
Midfield-
Wilfred Ndidi has been a crucial player for the Foxes this season and has won Leicester City’s young player of the season award. He picked up a knock in the previous game but is expected to start for them. Adrien Silva will partner him in the middle of the park. Albrighton is set to miss out and Demarai Gray might fill in his left midfield role. Mahrez will be expected to start from the right and the Algerian could be playing his last few games with the Foxes.
Attack-
Usually Gray has partnered Jamie Vardy upfront and with Gray set to play down the left, Kelechi Iheanacho might get a start and will partner up with Vardy.
