Leeds United will be without the services of their left-sided midfielder Stuart Dallas for the remainder of the campaign. According to recent reports, the Northern Ireland international will miss the rest of the current season due to a hamstring injury. He missed the last two matches for the Peacocks and has been playing with a tight hamstring over the last few weeks.
The Peacocks boss Paul Heckingbottom has confirmed that Dallas has torn his hamstring and will miss the West Yorkshire outfit’s remaining games of this season. In a recent interview, Heckingbottom provided an update and was quoted to have said, “He was playing with it. A little hamstring problem. We ended up having to scan it and there was some damage in there. A hamstring tear,”
When asked whether it will be the end of his campaign, Heckingbottom added, “Yes, because it was getting worse. He’ll be no good.”
Dallas has been an instrumental squad player for the Peacocks and has filled in on a number of different positions in the Peacocks first-team which included playing as a right-back under Heckingbottom in recent times. It is expected that Matthew Pennington will take his right-back position in Heckingbottom’s senior squad.
The Peacocks have a total tally of 57 points, having played 45 league matches so far. They find themselves in the 14th place in the league rankings and does not have much to play for other than pride for the remainder of the campaign.
Heckingbottom needs to make some smart additions in the summer if they are to have a chance of gaining promotion to the English top-flight next season. The injury to Dallas will undoubtedly be a huge blow for the Peacocks but as they have nothing to play for, it might not be that big of a deal in the long run. The Northern Ireland midfielder has featured in 32 matches for Leeds this season, scoring two goals while providing two assists in all competitions.

It remains to be seen what lies ahead in the future of Dallas and whether Leeds United can cope without his services in these final few matches of the season.
