Derby County are eyeing a move for the highly talented Manchester City youth star Javairo Dilrosun. The Dutch winger joined the English side in 2014 for Ajax and could be on the move out of the Etihad Stadium as he will try to play regular first-team football. Derby County has been linked with him but it is being said that Dilrosun is close to signing with German outfit Hertha Berlin.
The reports suggest that the winger has already been to Germany and has signed the contract with the German club. The 19-year-old is one of the in-demand young prospects across Europe. The player, who is just 19, has been plying his trade for Manchester City u-23 side. However, he hasn’t got regular chances at that level and that could be one of the reasons why he is looking for a way out from the club.
According to reports, Manchester City were offering him a new contract but he didn’t agree to the terms of the contract. Derby County has been linked with him but if other top-flight clubs make a substantial offer for the player then he can be lured to them. The Rams are currently in the sixth spot and are in with a good chance for qualifying for the playoffs.
Dilrosun is a left winger naturally and is particularly known for his pace and creativity. He is able to go past defenders with ease and is a good crosser of the ball. He is one of those traditional wingers who hugs the byline and delivers one cross after another. However, he can also play as an inverted winger.
Moving away from City could be the right move for the Dutch winger as their team is studded with star players. One cannot see a 19-year-old breaking into that formidable team. From City’s point of view, they will like to hold on to him as he can turn out to be a big prospect in the next 3-4 years. Maybe a loan move on their part could be the right way ahead but as per recent reports, he is keen on moving elsewhere on a permanent basis.

Derby County will certainly be delighted to have a player of Dilrosun’s quality. However, them being a Championship side might not help their prospect of landing the 19-year-old as the player will most likely prefer a move to a top-flight club. But things can look a bit rosy if the Rams can win the playoffs and enter back into English top flight.
