#1 OUT Erik Lamela [Tottenham Hotspur] 7.1
IN Etienne Capoue [Watford] 5.0
A shot conversion rate of 66.7%, and a shot accuracy rate of 88.3%, the Watford man is in rip-roaring form. Scoring against Manchester United was the tipping point which made millions of Fantasy Premier League players shed their doubts, despite the Frenchman game being on point since day one. He seems to have rediscovered that form that made the likes of Roy Hodgson’s Liverpool court him, to replace the outgoing Javier Mascherano. With Roy being at the helm, it made all the sense in the world to sign for Tottenham, instead. Made into a bit-part player, and being stationed at centre-back, he found his role marginalised.
Walter Mazzarri’s 3-5-2 seems to be making the most of the talents of the 28-year-old, who was deemed as one of the better midfielders plying his trade in France’s Ligue 1 side Toulouse.
Apart from that one goal against the run of play vs Everton, on game-week 1, Tottenham’s Erik Lamela is being seen every bit the luxury that he was deemed to be in his first season. Watford travel to Burnley, while Tottenham visit Middlesbrough.

Hector Bellerin may have his head turned by all the interest from Barcelona, which recently came to surface among the collective public consciousness of the Arsenal faithful. With Arsenal entertaining Chelsea this Saturday, their perennial bogey team, it’s very likely that the North London club may not see clean sheets. History supports the fact, that Arsenal were unable to defeat Chelsea at the Emirates since 2010. Better off keeping him out.
Seamus Coleman for Everton looks like he has never been away, when, in fact, he has been out for a while now. His strike was aimed at the bottom corner, and the Middlesbrough defence were powerless to do anything to prevent him cutting in. There may be more of the same coming from the Irishman, as Everton hop on the bus to Bournemouth.
#3 OUT Alvaro Negredo [Middlesbrough] 6.9
IN Troy Deeney [Watford] 6.6
The bustling Spaniard they call, ‘The Beast’, will be up against the considerable masses of Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen. After notching up a goal and two assists, the Boro man seems to be not doing all that well in terms of end product despite his best efforts.
Troy Deeney is tearing up defences and dreams of much-vaunted favourites, just like he did vs Manchester United, where his performances drew [exaggerated] comparisons to Diego Maradona of all people. Forwards thrive on momentum, and it seems like he has a lot going for him.
