The Everton management is expected to undergo a major change following a disappointing campaign in England’s top-flight. After expending £200m, it seems like the desired results have not been achieved by Sam Allardyce and his team, making him the likely scapegoat along with 32-year-old forward, Wayne Rooney.
Reports have come out stating that the former Manchester United striker has overstayed his welcome at Goodison Park. Farhad Moshiri is looking to refurbish the squad well ahead of the 2018/19 season and that would include getting rid of dead weight like former England international.
For general viewers and even for the fans of the club, the blame is uncalled for. Rooney at the ripe old age of 32 is still the club’s highest goal-getter with 11 this season. His leadership and composure in the front line have been vastly relied upon by ‘Big Sam’ in getting the club back to the top-half of the Premier League table.
The striker’s only fault is the lack of youthful enthusiasm which is expected to wear off after spending close to 15 years in top-flight football. While the entire Everton front line has struggled to deliver all season, Rooney has successfully managed to keep the team above water with his 11 goals in 39 total appearances. He has even assisted on 3 occasions and seems to have formed a lucrative partnership with Theo Walcott.
It would be a shame to even consider trading him anytime soon but we sadly should not underestimate the full wrath of Farhad Moshiri. The silver lining is, three clubs in England who could definitely benefit from the situation.
Wolves
Why not? The newly promoted Wanderers team is a bag full of hope and promise and Rooney could be the perfect man to tie it all into place. Nuno Santo’s squad already has one of the best young talents in European football and the Portuguese tactician is planning on signing more.
While most of his loan moves have paid off dividends in extraordinary amounts, Leo Bonatini has turned out to be a questionable call.
The striker has failed to deliver in front of the goal in the latter half of the season and is unlikely to be recalled for a permanent deal. With the front line of Diogo Jota, Ivan Cavaleiro and Helder Costa, Rooney could easily take up a spot in the shadow striker role or partner up with Ruben Neves in the deeper positions. After all, a man of his pedigree will only make survival in the Premier League that much easier.
Crystal Palace
Christian Benteke needs to go. Right along with a few other names at the club but that could spell a lot of trouble for Roy Hodgson. If Wilfried Zaha leaves too, the front line will be depleted of a talisman and Rooney could fill in as a rotational option.

Newcastle United
Rafael Benitez has been crying out for more signings ever since the season started. Mike Ashley’s has hesitated to spend big and Rooney could be made available for cheap. Could be a brilliant option when Islam Slimani returns to Leicester City after this season.
