Wolves incredible Championship campaign has already ensured their Premier League promotion being crowned as the Champions as they maintained sheer dominance all season and were looking to cross the 100 points mark when they hosted Sheffield Wednesday at Molineux this afternoon. The Owls missed out a promotion narrowly on the two previous occasions but went to a turmoil this term and are likely to finish the season as a mere midtable outfit. The game against Wolverhampton Wanderers was all about pride in order to boost themselves up and chase a promotion once again in the upcoming campaign. But the hosts, currently on a four-game winning streak, were favorites to extend the run but had to settle to a scoreless draw as neither side was able to find a way through.

John Ruddy: 7
Had a quiet afternoon of football between the sticks as he did not face much threat from the opponent throughout the game.
Danny Batth: 8
The injury of Ryan Bennett has handed the club captain his second start in a row after being in the substitutes for the majority of the campaign. He, however, was spot on with his tackles, clearances and also won the majority of duels both physically as well as aerially. Came close to score early in the second half, but his headed effort just went wide of the post.
Conor Coady: 7.5
The former Liverpool academy graduate has settled in well in the middle of a three-man backline and delivered yet another solid defensive display against the Owls. He helped his side to construct the game from the back, kept the ball rolling with his passes and also maintained composure while making tackles, interceptions, and clearances.
Willy Boly: 7
Was rusty while tackling at times, but the FC Porto loanee maintained his composure at the back and helped his side to clinch a clean-sheet without much of concern.
Matt Doherty: 7
Made some overlap runs down the right flank and whipped in a few crosses. Did not have to offer much defensively due to little pressure from the visitors and the presence of Batth at the back.
Romain Saiss: 7
Kept on making runs high up the pitch, controlled the game from the middle of the park and was denied by Wednesday custodian Cameron Dawson who pulled off a massive stop in the closing minutes of the first half.
Ruben Neves: 7.5
The Portuguese sensation has been a massive influence in Wolves midfield all season and played some excellent through balls this afternoon as well. He, however, saw his strikes being blocked on a couple of occasions and could not alter the outcome despite his best efforts.
Barry Douglas: 7.5
Kept on crossing the ball from the left flank and tried to pose a constant threat on a rigid defensive line formed by the visitors. offered help at the back when needed and also combined well with Jota high up the pitch at times.
Helder Costa: 7
Saw one of his efforts blocked but kept on troubling the opponents’ backline with his tricky runs, pace and dribbling traits. Was taken off in the second half to be replaced by bright academy prospect Bright Enobakhare.
Benik Afobe: 6
Missed one opportunity in the first half but was well contained by Daniel Pudil and Tom Lees until being taken off within 10 minutes into the second half to be replaced by Leo Bonatini.
Diogo Jota: 7.5
Was excellent as he kept on creating opportunities from the left flank and was denied by the Owls custodian on a few occasion. Also saw his efforts being blocked and was eventually replaced by Gibbs-White in closing minutes of the game.

Came on in place of Afobe. Played his part in some build-ups but could not offer much up front and did not create such goal-bound opportunities as well.
