Derby County played hosts to Cardiff City at the Pride Park on Tuesday night looking to secure a positive result on the night. The Rams opted for a 3-4-3 formation but went a goal behind in the 28th minute when Callum Paterson slotted home the opener. The away team did enough to go into half-time with a 1-0 advantage.
The second half began with the Rams on the front foot and they equalised in the 69th minute courtesy of Cameron Jerome’s goal. Derby County completed their comeback just 13 minutes later when Matěj Vydra scored from close range. Jerome popped up again to put the icing on the cake for the home side in injury time when he scored from close range after some ‘schoolboy defending’ by the Bluebirds.
The match ended 3-1 in favour of the Rams as they climbed up to the 6th place in the league table.

LM: Marcus Olsson – 5/10
His error cost Derby County an early goal and was rightfully substituted in the second half.

He was lively in the first half and was a good outlet for the home side down the right flank.
