Newcastle United should be wise enough to take caution to Rafael Benitez’s words. The manager has reportedly mentioned the financial backing he would need to keep surviving in the Premier League and a similar miracle as this season cannot be repeated again.
Newcastle United are in the 10th spot of the points table and will be looking to overtake Everton both in the mid-week fixture and the league. The Toffees are just a point ahead of the Tyneside outfit. Obviously, this concludes all relegation concerns for the season with 4 games still left.
The entire winter period was frustrating for Benitez with the entire Amanda Staveley and PCP Group rumours. The current owner, Mike Ashley has shown toxic reluctance in providing financial support to the former Liverpool boss.
This has forced the 58-year-old to look for loan options and by the looks of it, his moves have paid off ten-fold. Kennedy has been an ideal fit on the left wing and is proving to be a shrewd acquisition. Even Martin Dubravka has cemented a starting birth ahead of Rob Elliot and Karl Darlow. Islam Slimani has been unfortunate enough to go through an injury hiccup but even he looks restless to play under the Spanish boss.
Whether Ashley will agree to provide the funds in the succeeding window is yet to be seen but the Magpies still need to put a plan in place. After all their scouting books cannot feature big-money names like Kylian Mbappe and Paul Pogba with realistic expectations.

Georges Kevin N’Koudou
The Tottenham winger is spending a short spell out on loan with Burnley. His time both at North London and Turf Moor has been uneventful.
United need a pacey wide man who can take of defenders on the run. While the Frenchman has yet to break out in the Premier League, maybe Benitez is the right man to facilitate that process.
Bobby Reid
The 25-year-old plies his trade for Championship outfit, Bristol City and has been in prolific form this season. Formerly an attacking midfielder, Reid has looked more impressive in his new-found striker role and has racked up 21 goals this season along with 8 assists.
He could prove to be the right answer to Dwight Gayle’s upsetting form in front of goal.
Joe Hart
If Matin Dubravka’s transfer ends up not falling through, maybe a free transfer could be sanctioned for the England international. Hart is set to be a free agent this summer following the end of his contract with Manchester City.
