West Brom are nearing a return to the Championship and Nacer Chadli has been named as one of the club’s summer departees for a £17m transfer fee. The Belgian international has not featured much for the Baggies due to injury this season but is still a big name in the Premier League.
Clubs will be more than happy to pick up the former Tottenham winger for cheap to improve their attacking lineup. After all, Chadli is still just 28 and is a 35-time Belgian international despite having players like Eden Hazard, Dries Mertens, Yannick Carrasco, Kevin Mirallas and Kevin De Bruyne in the squad.
The Liege-born winger caught the eyes of Premier League sides back when he was impressing for Belgian outfit, FC Twente. Chadli scored a crucial free-kick against Tottenham in the UEFA Champions League group stages and helped his side to a 3-3 draw at home.
The Belgian has undergone a tough season on the sidelines mostly due to the recurring hamstring injuries. He still has loads of football left under his boots and given the right manager he could still make an impact in England’s top division.
Chadli is not the quickest of all Premier League wingers but he does have the skill to go along with his overall game. His technical abilities along with his keen eye for the right pass allows him to stand out from the herd. The 28-year-old could be utilised from more central areas as well.
Here are few teams who could benefit from the attacker’s abilities.
Burnley
Yes, they have Jeff Hendrick in the squad along with Aaron Lennon, Berg Gudmundsson, Scott Arfield and Robbie Brady but the latter duo have undergone injury troubles themselves. Sean Dyche has done a miraculous job with the resources he has at hand but he needs to consider bringing in quality talents to build upon the present season success.
Maybe next season will be their year in breaking into a European qualification spot but that can only be delivered with a formidable attack to go along with their resolute defence. Chadli will bring a different dynamic to the Clarets offence and could channel the partnership of Ashley Barnes and Chris Wood with his creative abilities.
Newcastle United
Rafael Benitez needs more offensive talents and Chadli could be the ideal man for the job. Whether Kenedy’s contract will be renewed on a permanent basis is yet to be seen but the Belgian will be an able replacement.

Watford
Same goes for the Hornets. Gerard Deulofeu will be recalled to Spain after this season and Richarlison is already being sought after by multiple top-flight outfits.
