Leicester City’s title win back in the 2015-16 season saw the club rise through the ranks in England pretty fast. All of a sudden many clubs in England and Europe were interested in their players. The likes of Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez were being shown interest and clubs were willing to pay high amounts for players who had hardly played in the top tier of English football for two years.
The stars like Vardy and Mahrez ended up staying owing to the club’s reluctance to sell them but N’golo Kante ended up moving to Chelsea. The Frenchman’s move was so effective that he helped his new club win the league title and also won himself the PFA Player of the Year. This meant that Chelsea were happy with their formula and tried to repeat it last year when they moved in for Danny Drinkwater, Kante’s midfield partner at Leicester.
The move came through on the deadline day with Drinkwater becoming a Chelsea player. However, injuries coupled with Conte’s lack of faith in the Englishman has seen Drinkwater’s first-team chances reduced to nothing in his first season in England. The England star missed the majority of the first half of the season through recurring injuries and in the second half, despite being fit, he has been shown the bench on almost every occasion.
This means that Drinkwater is tired of his time at West London and is reportedly ready to leave the Blues. Here are three places where he can go to in England.
Wolverhampton Wanderers
The Wolves are almost sure to win the Championship meaning that they will return to the Premier League. Their promotion will, however, be unlike most other promotions owing to the fact that the Wolves project in place is excellent and the club will be ready to spend big on multiple stars to set up their Premier League camp. Drinkwater would be a star player at the club and also get regular game time.
Everton
The Toffees have been spending big for a year now but has been unable to establish a decent first team. Getting someone like Drinkwater to pull over the calming influence would mean that the player could be a starter for the club and Everton also would have a midfield presence in their team.

Burnley
The Sean Dyche led team has surprised everyone this season. However, it is no secret that they are short in numbers and could do with a star like Drinkwater to buff up their squad and add quality to their midfield.
