Wolves are expected to set an asking price of £1m for out-of-favour winger, Ben Marshall. This could potentially wreck a permanent move to Millwall, where the 27-year-old has settled remarkably well in his loan spell for the second half of the season.
Marshall had to be traded away due to the lack of playing time he received under Nuno Espirito Santo. Just 304 minutes at this juncture of his career was no ideal and a switch had to be made.
The Englishman has come into his own with Lions, scoring thrice and setting up his teammates on 5 occasions.
Once a player of the Manchester United youth ranks, Marshall undergone a tough spell to establish himself inside the realms of English football. Even after signing a three-year contract with Stoke City, he never got to appear for the Potters senior side and spent the entirety of his tenure with the club away on loan to lower-division sides.
Marshall finally got to break into the scene with Leicester City in the 2011/12 season and went on to make 61 appearances for the club, scoring 9 in the process and assisting 18. He was later sold off to Blackburn Rovers where he really impressed for a span of 4 seasons. Paul Lambert singled out the 27-year-old to high praises and brought him to the Molineux in January 2017.
However, Lambert is no longer in charge and the Wanderers are no longer the same side. They have long eclipsed their past self with monstrous investments and are already preparing for life in the Premier League.
Top quality young talents have made their way into the club and have cemented starting spots under the Portuguese manager. This has sparked the Wolves dominance in the second division and can wreak havoc in the top-flight if managed properly.
However, these high ambitions and big money names might have no place for Marshall in the near future. If he failed to improve before, it is unlikely that he will be called upon unless emergency arises.
At 27, players usually enjoy the peak of their footballing careers and warming the benches at the Molineux Stadium is not in his career ambitions. The Den has turned out to be an ideal home for Marshall and has resurrected his career.

A move would be ideal for all parties involved. Wolves will benefit from the transfer fee and Millwall could improve upon their current season performance with Marshall in the squad. The only hiccup is rivalling interests from Fulham, Sunderland and Derby County.
