Mourinho who is looking for a shakeup this summer to mount a title challenge next season will be looking to add some players in the summer especially in the offensive department. He indicated that he wanted to reunite with his former player Willian .
However, Willian has claimed that he is currently happy at Chelsea. His contract runs out in 2020 and said that-‘’ I like to play for Chelsea. On the pitch, I want to do my best always to fight until the last minute. To do my best for this club. To continue to win titles because this club deserves always to win titles.
He further added,” I think we have to continue to improve for next season. To improve ourselves. To think about what we did well, what we did not so well and to try to make something different next season.’’ These words will be music to Chelsea fans ears as one often sees players jumping ship when the team doesn’t do well.
Chelsea is expected to miss out on Champions League football next season as they are lagging behind Tottenham and Liverpool and this will be a big blow for them. Chelsea can lose out on some of their key players.
Willian also praised the current league leaders but believes that Chelsea will come back strong next season. He said-‘’ Of course they continue to do very well this season,” he said. “Last season they did well as well. They have a great team. Great players. Quality players. But the Premier League is very difficult to say that one team is going to dominate the next few years. I don’t think so. Next season will be totally different to this season. Maybe they can win again but you never know because Chelsea are going to come back stronger for sure.”
