Shinji Kagawa, the Japanese winger, is being linked to a move to Everton. The Borussia Dortmund player has been part of a Premier League outfit before as he represented Manchester United from 2012-2014 before he was signed up again by his former club Borussia Dortmund.
Kagawa has been enjoying a good season at the Bundesliga outfit as he has scored six and assisted another seven. He managed to make 38 appearances for United in his two seasons there. Many of the pundits claimed that his move was just a marketing gimmick to get publicity in Japan. But Kagawa did go on to have some good games for Manchester United. However, United fans wouldn’t remember him fondly as he was part of the team which started their downward spiral in the Premier League.
Hammers Manager David Moyes also seem interested in getting the Japanese attacking midfielder. Moyes had already managed him when he was at United. Everton, on the other hand, are looking to get more attacking talent in their squad.
Everton signed the highly rated Gylfi Sigurdsson for big money and this year was touted as a big season for Everton as they brought in a manager who plays expansive and attractive football. But Ronald Koeman was soon sacked as Everton found themselves in the relegation scrap. The experienced and proven in the Premier League Sam Allardyce took over. Since then Everton has done well and are likely to finish in top half of the table.
Everton are constantly looking for a big push in the Premier League but they are struggling to regularly make the top6 or 7. They had spent a huge amount of money in the last two transfer windows and got their former star Wayne Rooney back at the club. However, things haven’t gone to plan for them. They are looking to reinforce this summer.

Everton fans need to be patient as new signings and big money players don’t guarantee success straightaway. When a new set of players come in, they take time to gel with each other and get going. Next few years could be crucial for Everton as they are looking to push themselves to the elite level in the Premier League. Kagawa can surely bring a lot of attacking talent and creativity to the Everton team plus he has an experience of playing in the Premier League. It will certainly be a good move if Everton can get this highly rated Japanese playmaker.
