Arsenal will welcome Chelsea to the Emirates Stadium as Arsene Wenger looks to end a six-year wait for a win against Chelsea at home. He has been traditionally bullied by the Jose Mourinho-led Chelsea and did not manage to beat them in the League. Arsenal will be eager to put up a good show against the Blues after faltering at their first big test of the season against Liverpool. Wenger has finally spent in the transfer window and he will be looking at his new signings to put their hands up and announce themselves on the biggest stage. The Gunners will have high hopes for the season after finally trying to fix their midfield and striking malaise. They are currently in the 4th position in the table with 10 points on board and will look to remain above Chelsea come the end of the weekend.
Chelsea ,on the other hand, are coming off a difficult week where they had to face Liverpool and Leicester City, winning one and losing the other. And playing 120 minutes at the King Power Stadium might hand Arsenal a slight advantage as they will be playing at home. Unlike recent meetings between the two, this match is expected to be tighter and Arsenal will be confident of pulling off a victory if they are able to stick to their guns.
T4O’s PREDICTED ARSENAL LINE-UP VS CHELSEA (4-2-3-1)
DEFENCE
Petr Cech will be in goal and will look to keep a clean sheet against his former team, where he is still considered a fan favourite. Hector Bellerin has quickly risen the ranks and is arguably the best right-back in the league at the moment. He will be tasked with keeping Eden Hazard quiet and the battle on the byline between the two will be interesting to watch. Koscielny and Mustafi are the first choice centre-backs at the moment and will start likewise with Nacho Monreal utilising his sound defence and attacking ability at the left-back.
MIDFIELD
Arsene might settle for the extra-defensive guarantee of Coquelin and partner him with Xhaka but if on the day the Frenchman is feeling adventurous, he might partner Xhaka and Cazorla for the extra creativity from midfield. Mesut Ozil is likely to be pulling the strings in the No.10 role.
ATTACK
Alexis Sanchez is nailed on for the left-flank with Oxlade-Chamberlain’s defensive contribution making him a slight favourite over Theo Walcott on the right flank. Olivier Giroud might edge Lucas Perez for the lone striker’s role despite the latter impressing last night against Forest.
