Andreas Pereira, the Manchester United midfielder who is out on loan to Valencia will be looking for a permanent move to the Spanish side according to recent reports. Pereira has been an important cog for the La Liga side this season, as he has racked up 25 appearances for them of which 19 has come in the La Liga. He has managed to score one goal and assist five.
Pereira’s contract with United expires in 2019 and he has managed just 13 appearances in four seasons for the club. This is the Brazilian second loan stint in the La Liga. In the 2016-17 season, he was with Granada where he was a regular starter as he made 35 appearances and managed to score 5 times.
According to reports, Jose Mourinho wants him to stay at Manchester United. United have had bit of a problem in the midfield as Pogba has struggled a bit in last few games. Mourinho at one point employed the young academy player Mctominay over Pogba in the midfield. But it seems that Pogba is back at his best as he scored twice in the recently concluded Manchester derby and inspired his team to a brilliant 3-2 win with Smalling scoring the winner.
One can Understand why Marcelino, the Valencia boss is keen on having Perreira as he has been the important player for them in this campaign. Currently, Valencia are flying high in the La Liga table as they are third and are even ahead of the much-fancied Real Madrid.
Perreira is an attacking midfielder but can also play in the traditional central midfield role and that is where he has been used by Valencia. Like all Brazilians, he has a flair to his game. He is good at close control and dribbling. He has quick feet and is adept of wriggling out of tight spaces. He has a good right foot and has good set piece taking abilities. One shortcoming is that he sometimes tries too hard and often embark on individual runs where he ends up giving up the possession in dangerous areas allowing the opponent to counter.

If Perreira wants regular game time he should look for a permanent move to the La Liga outfit. At Manchester United, he will most likely be a squad player and at 22 one would rather be on the pitch than warming up benches for a big club. The manager Marcelino likes him and it will be no surprise if we see him move permanently to Valencia in the summer transfer window.
