Leeds United played hosts to Sunderland at Elland Road looking to bag maximum points on the day. The Peacocks started the game on the front foot but failed to conjure up a goal in the first-half. Paddy McNair popped up with the opening goal of the game for the away side just after the half-time break but the West Yorkshire outfit equalised courtesy of Pablo Hernandez’s goal in the 72nd minute. Gaetano Berardi was sent off in the 90th minute for a rash challenge on Callum McManaman as the match finished 1-1 with both teams sharing the spoils.
